And How The Lord Called Me
My name is Danielle, but most people call me Dani! I am 19 and currently part of the Cru Gap Year. I have two wonderful, godly parents, and one brother and one sister, both older than me:) I have lived in Minnesota, Illinois, and finally Texas, where I live now.
Jesus called me on this trip around August of 2019. After struggling to make a college decision, Cru Gap Year just kind of dropped in my lap. I wasn’t sure why I felt drawn to do a gap year mission trip, but it felt like it was right. As if God had this planned all along. Which he had:) After coming up with a million excuses of why I shouldn’t go, I verse came to mind from Luke. “ If anyone would come after me, let him take up his cross and follow me.”( 9:23) Suddenly all the reasons of why I shouldn’t go didn’t seem as important. There was one thing on this earth I was placed here to do: Follow Christ. And so I am.
