Moving on to Missouri

Three weeks ago, our team said goodbye to Missoula, Montana! The past three and a half months there have been incredible, but now God is moving our team to a new place. It’s hard to believe the first semester of Gap Year is officially over! All of us on the team separated to visit family and friends for Christmas break, but will be back together on January 19 to start our ministry in Springfield, Missouri!

Since my last post on November 16, a lot has happened. For a couple weeks after Rhanksgiving, ministry slowed down. College students traveled home for break, and so our ministry focus shifted. We focused on building our team and working through various conflicts that came up.

The last two weeks, however, we had more outreach to participate in. We had our final Young Life Club/Christmas party. Getting to be apart of the Young Life meetings has been such a blessing and a joy!!

Here are a few pictures from the last meeting:

We were also still able to meet up with some high school students and people from our church in Missoula. As I have said before many times, my favorite part of ministry has been getting to know the students here and meeting up with them to share Jesus and listen to their stories:)

For the final days in Montana, we had debrief time where we had some really fun team outings. We traveled to Idaho to go to a hot spring. We challenged each other by rock climbing, and we had some awesome team dinners with our leaders!

Our time in Montana has been so wonderful! I have met some amazing people that have become my best friends. God has used us to accomplish what he called us to do, and I am so excited to see what next semester will hold.

This past Thursday, we had a call with our team director, Jill, and our new leader Danny from Missouri. We discussed logistics, ministry opportunities, and team dynamics. God really blessed us with this place. The Cru team in Missouri works at several different colleges in Springfield and the surrounding areas, so we will be able to join them in their ministry. Due to Covid, the high schools do not allow outside people to enter, so we will be brainstorming on how to start a high school ministry!

A few of my teammates still need to raise money to go to Missouri. If you feel God leading you to give to one of my teammates, please contact me! You can fill out the contact info at the end of my blog website and let me know!

Here are a few prayer requests:

- That God would provide the needed support for all my teammates to go to Missouri!

- That we would growing in our relationship with God and that he would be leading us as we prepare for the final semester of Gap Year.

Thank you all for your continued prayers and support! God has been so good to all of us.

In Christ,

Dani
